Daily training on engine maintenance
Recently, our company organized an MTU engine maintenance training using the warehouse's space and equipment resources. This training does not have a complicated ceremony, but is mainly aimed at internal maintenance technicians of the company, aiming to improve everyone's ability to repair MTU engines through practical operation exercises.
Our warehouse stores MTU engines and related parts, which provides convenient conditions for training. The training content revolves around the daily maintenance of MTU engines, including common troubleshooting, component replacement, basic maintenance, and other common problems encountered in practical work. Considering everyone's work schedule, the training will be conducted in batches, with 4-5 technical personnel assigned each time, utilizing the relatively idle time in the warehouse.
There is not much theoretical explanation in the training, more emphasis is placed on hands-on operation by technical personnel. In the maintenance area of the warehouse, everyone gathered around an MTU engine that was waiting to be repaired, and experienced technicians demonstrated it on site.
From accurately determining the cause of engine noise to correctly disassembling and installing fuel injectors, each step is explained in detail and everyone takes turns practicing. When encountering unclear areas, feel free to ask questions and discuss solutions together.
Technician Xiao Zhang, who participated in the training, said, "I can handle some small problems with the MTU engine during my work, but I am not so confident about more complex faults.
This time in the warehouse, there are ready-made engines that can be disassembled for inspection, and an experienced technician is nearby to guide. I have indeed learned a lot of practical skills, such as adjusting the turbocharger that I was not very proficient in before, but now it is much easier to operate.
In the future, the company plans to organize similar training in the warehouse from time to time based on actual needs, combined with the equipment in the warehouse, to solve the problems encountered in maintenance work in a targeted manner, so that the skills of technical personnel can better meet the actual work needs.
Technical personnel from MTU also came to briefly understand the training situation and expressed their recognition of our use of warehouse resources to conduct practical training. They believe that this kind of training that is close to actual work scenarios is very helpful in improving the skills of maintenance personnel and suggest that we can provide some technical support in the future.
Although the scale of this training is not large, it has indeed played a role in enhancing the practical skills of technical personnel. The company will also continue to explore this practical training method, making the warehouse not only a place to store equipment, but also a place to improve employee skills and better provide customers with MTU engine maintenance services.
